Upcoming new book for 2014--JOSEPH: based on King Tut the Musical (2005) by Tedi and her son, Jason.

"That's the best storyline I've heard in a long time," a lady stated at the first performance of King Tut the Musical in Ogden, Utah.

Tedi enjoys entertaining people with a good story and who could guess that in this historical novel she ties King Tut to Joseph of Egypt. She wrote over 2 dozen songs for the original play.

Composer, playwright, author: why not? Different strokes for different folks. Coming this summer. You've never seen King Tut the Musical? You're not alone. We put it on one time in Ogden, Utah and would love to see it at the Empress Theatre in the upcoming season in the Salt Lake City area. Found at www.byubookstore.com under Y Mountain Press.

Hi, Tedi Wixom here. I've always wanted to write since in High School. My English teacher, Mrs. Hall made me think outside the norm one year while writing a poetry book for a class. It got me thinking that maybe others don't think like me. Back then I wrote things like Flush the Pot, and You Are What  You Eat as well as Hands--which have always intrigued me.  Dear Sophie is my fist novel. Anne and John Olson live a humdrum life with two young children. Then one day, Anne decides to take things into her own hands at the suggestion of her mentor, Sophie. Story setting is before cell phones came into being and when letter writing was still an art. $11.99 paper.

Several years ago, before I finished my Bachelor's Degree in English at BYU, I got the opportunity to take writing classes in Indiana from Dr. G. Roddey. This was the turning point in crystalizing my writing style that changed my life. It was a form of writing that I could use to handle large stories, not simple short stories. I later finished my degree at Brigham Young University and I continue to write. Find some of my poetry at www.tedispoetrypalace@blogspot.com">www.tedispoetrypalace@blogspot.com

Thus, the first novel I wrote was for a class in Indiana. I was supposed to sit down and write a story from beginning to end as a storyteller on my computer straight through utilizing the elements of writing I had learned. It became a very interesting look into my own life. I let my imagination run wild along with a few real life experiences I had in my memory banks. That is how my first novel Dear Sophie came about. I wanted to call it December Alliance, but my instructor said Dear Sophie would be a better title, so that is how my first novel came about.

And my latest book Hands On Head & Heart (2014) integrates personal essay with my poetry. The art is by Neil Galloway from Utah, and I plan to have him do my next children's art for Abigail's Flinging Pancakes because he is so awesome. Hands On Head & Heart includes things that a mother goes through on a daily basis with 8 children, a spouse who is a school teacher and a mother who comes to visit me. What timeless adventures. $14.99 soft.

NEW Book by

Tedi T Wixom

Oh Mother! Oh Father! 1947-1967--a history by Lovina C. Tuttle & Tedi Wixom--Book 2 in Triumph & Tragedies series. Above photo of Lovina with her 5 daugheters.

I grew up with stories of rabid coyotes, runnaway horses, cattle, and fishing streams. I began writing and recording stories of my mother and aunts that they experienced in rural Idaho with no close stores. This has been a lifetime endeavor to get this project done.

Author & Composer

I enjoy reading a good story, therefore, I enjoy writing something worth reading. If I can't get past the first page, I won't read it. I have little time to read, and therefore, I want something that fits for me. I always loved Erma Bombeck. So move over Erma
