I found out a long time ago when my kids were young, that there were books we loved, and there were books that weren't worth the paper they were printed on. I started telling stories to my 9 children before they were born and as they were born. When I hear parents say, "My child isn't old enough to read yet . . ." I cringe. If you are not reading great books to your children before and after they are born, you are missing out on a wealth of knowledge and bonding with your babies.
One day I asked my oldest daughter what children's book was her favorite. I could think of Millions of Cats, or Dr. Suess, Oh The Places You'll Go, or Rainbow Fish, or what? She said, "Mom, my favorite book is A Princess, Dragon, & Baker! That is a book I wrote a long time ago, that most people still haven't heard about, because I have only sold them locally. It was the second book I wrote. But I had a lot of help from my family. On a trip to Idaho one day to see the folks I began an add-on story.
